Details and settings
Unless a file limit is stated, 500 KB and 300 DPI are tool defaults, not official rules. 1 KB = 1,000 bytes. Print and online application requirements can differ.
Government rules may prohibit retouching your appearance or replacing the background. This tool only crops, rotates, resizes and compresses JPEGs. It does not remove backgrounds or retouch faces.
Position your photo
Drag to move. With the photo focused, use arrow keys to move, +/− to zoom and [ / ] to rotate. On touch screens, drag to move and use the sliders to zoom or rotate.
Align the crown with the top line and the chin with the lower band. No face detection or approval check is performed. Eye guides and head guides without stated measurements are visual aids, not official limits. Adult proportions; check the source for child exceptions.

Print PDF at 100% actual size. For JPEG, use the full paper dimensions and disable auto fit and borderless enlargement. 5 mm margins, 3 mm gaps. Check official paper, printer and studio requirements. The KB limit applies only to the single photo.

Is my photo uploaded?
No. Photos are processed only in browser memory, with no uploads, analytics or automatic storage. Once offline preparation is complete, the tool works without an internet connection.
Will the result be accepted for a passport?
Official acceptance is not guaranteed. Face guides and background checks are only aids. Check the official source and authority for photo age, expression, background, studio and printing requirements.
How do file limits and print sizes work?
The single JPEG keeps its pixel dimensions while quality is lowered to meet the limit, and EXIF is removed. If it cannot fit, no result is saved. Print PDFs at 100% actual size. Multi-photo files are not subject to the single-photo KB limit.
